Erasmus+ COVID-19
Dear Students,
due to the dynamically changing situation related to the spread of the coronavirus causing COVID-19 disease, we would like to inform you that the decision to return to the country and terminate the mobility under the Erasmus + program is the individual decision of each student. Nevertheless, the University and the Polish State Services recommend a return. One of the arguments in favour of our recommendation is the uncertain situation in the future and the lack of guarantees for the return after the planned termination of mobility.
The decision to terminate mobility will result in the obligatory return of only the unused part of the scholarship (the difference between received scholarship and documented expenses, as well as the costs of stay estimated by the National Erasmus Agency + that cannot be documented - e.g. costs of food, etc.).
The final recognition of the costs incurred will be made by the National Agency of the Erasmus+ Program, so at this stage the amount which will be considered the "acceptable" part of the undocumented scholarship is unspecified.
We remind you that it is your responsibility to document the costs incurred and justify the situation in which the costs incurred are not documented.
Procedure of terminating the mobility:
When making a decision to stop the scholarship, I would like to ask for:
- informing the foreign university about the decision to end your mobility
- submitting the request for issuing a confirmation of stay with appropriate dates for starting and ending mobility under the Erasmus + program
- informing the International Cooperation Office of the IULT via e-mail to the address This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and sending the following documents attached:
- Resignation form
- Scan / photo of confirmation of stay
- List of costs incurred
- Scan / photos of documents confirming incurred costs
The return procedure:
In case you decided to return to the country:
- You must make sure that the airline where you made the booking allows you to recover the amount you paid for the ticket. If there is no such information on the website of the airline or it informs about the impossibility of recovering the cost of the ticket (as it usually is with the offer of so-called low-cost airlines), please include this information in the statement signed by the participant (in the application form or in separate document).
- You can use the return option enabled by the Government of the Republic of Poland - current flight information can be found at https://www.lot.com/pl/pl/ ( the #LOT doDomu action). Moreover, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has launched a special helpline where you can get information on the possibility of returning to the country: +48 22 523 8880. According to the information published on the website of the Office of the Polish Prime Minister (https://www.premier.gov.pl/) the possibilities of taking advantage of the #LotdoDomu action apply to Polish citizens and foreigners who are spouses, children of Poles, have a Polish Card, have a work permit or the right to reside in Poland.
- In accordance with the current regulations, please remember to undergo home quarantine for a minimum period of 2 weeks after return.
Please send current information about your situation to the International Cooperation Office, email: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
We remain at your disposal.
