On 21 May 2024, a study trip to Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland in Jawor was organised for students of IULT in Wrocław. The trip was held as part of the Welcome Centre project as a place of assistance, adaptation and integration for foreign students and lecturers.

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Poland is the first engine and battery plant for Mercedes-Benz electric cars in Poland. The plant produces four-cylinder engines and electric batteries for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. The modern factory provides services of the highest standards in the automotive industry.

The aim of the visit was to show the students the latest technology as well as logistics and production processes in the automotive industry.

During the meeting, a presentation of the company in Polish and English was given, through which the students learned about the company's history. The programme of the visit also included a short health and safety training course to familiarise the students with the company's safety rules.

Thanks to the visit, the students saw a semi-automated motor production hall and a fully automated electric battery production hall. The students were given a tour of the company's warehouse, where they also had the opportunity to see how a stacker crane (a lifting device used in warehouses to transport and stack stored materials) works.
