A CONFERENCE SUMMARIZING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE CENTRE OF VOCATIONAL EXCELLENCE IN THE FIELD OF LOGISTICS
On 22 September 2025, the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław hosted a conference summarizing the activities of the Centre of Vocational Excellence in the Field of Logistics.
The event was opened by Rector Dr Marcin Pawęska, Professor at the IULT, who welcomed the invited guests and emphasized the importance of initiatives aimed at developing logistics competences in Poland. Next, the Director of the Centre, Mr Sławomir Mazurek, presented a summary of the Centre’s activities for the years 2023–2025, highlighting key achievements and future development prospects.
The next item on the agenda was a lecture titled “Green Logistics, Digitalization, Automation, AI”, delivered by Vice-Dean Dr Eng. Michał Kruszyński and Ms Patrycja Bill-Józefiak, a lecturer at the IULT. The presentation focused on key trends and challenges which shape modern logistics.
The conference brought together representatives from various institutions, companies and schools, some of whom took part in a discussion panel as experts. The discussion provided an opportunity to exchange experience and perspectives on the development directions of the logistics industry and the role of education in shaping future professionals.
After the core programme and the summary session, the Director of the Centre invited participants to attend demonstrations of innovative equipment, including:
- a forklift simulator using VR technology – enabling driving under various (including hazardous) conditions,
- a didactic workstation in production logistics – focused on the transport and storage of components in the production process,
- an RFID gate with readers and a label printer,
- an autonomous MIR robot – a mobile transport robot supporting AGV solutions.
The conference served as an opportunity to summarize the Centre’s achievements to date, integrate representatives of the logistics sector, and showcase innovative solutions which support the development of skills and competences in logistics.
