On 6 June 2019, at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław, the International Scientific Conference titled Logistics of the Future – New Specialties at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw, took place.

The meeting was attended by the university authorities, academic staff, representatives of partner companies and partner universities from around the world. The chairman of the scientific committee was Marcin Pawęska, PhD, the Rector of the IULT in Wroclaw.

The conference's objectives were to familiarize participants with the education system of logistics managers at the first and second degree studies at the IULT in Wroclaw and to present the scope, content and structure of new educational projects implemented at the university from the academic year 2019/2020.

The main part of the conference was devoted to the presentation of five new specialties  in the first degree studies in the field of logistics. These are: Humanitarian logistics, Transport Safety, Aviation Logistics, Supply Chain Management in the Automotive Industry and Waste Management in the Automotive Industry.

The effect of plenary sessions and discussions was also determining  the directions of further organizational work in the field of implementation of the education process and verification of its effects from the academic year 2019/2020.

An additional result of the conference was the indication of the directions of possible cooperation between Polish and foreign universities and specialists  - logistics practitioners within the educational projects implemented by the IULT.
