On October 17, 2019, students of the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw participated in a study visit at VIA Technika Obróbki Powierzchniowej sp. z o.o. in Komorniki near Środa Śląska. It took place as part of the Automotive Leaders project - a programme introduced to develop competencies and professional internships for students of the IULT Management faculty. The main idea of the visit was to familiarize students with the management processes used in the company. The trip participants found out, among others, what management techniques are used every day at the VIA company, how to reduce costs of running enterprise thanks to outsourcing, how to effectively manage working time, how to improve the quality of tasks performed, and how to optimize production processes. The students also visited the machinery park in which devices using the latest technologies are located.

VIA is the Polish branch of the German company VIA Oberflächentechnik GmbH, which mainly deals with the outsourcing of direct surfacing and chemical degreasing processes. In addition, VIA provides logistics and transport solutions. As many as 90% of its clients are enterprises from the automotive sector.
