THE POLONAISE OF HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES
On April 25, 2022, at noon time in the Market Square in Wrocław, the 21st Polonaise for High School Students was held. Following the tradition, high school graduates walked around the Town Hall to the rhythm of a polonaise (a traditional Polish dance). The procession was headed by Ms Renata Granowska, the Deputy Mayor of Wrocław.
This year's polonaise was also a demonstration of support for Ukraine. In addition to high school graduates, the event was attended by Ukrainian youth from Wrocław schools. Representatives of Wrocław universities were also invited to participate in order to show their solidarity and support to our eastern neighbours.
After the ceremonial dance was completed, all participants of the event had their commemorative photo taken. Despite the unfavourable weather, the whole celebration turned out very well.
According to the legend, attending the polonaise brings good luck during high school exams.
We keep our fingers crossed for all this year's high school graduates! We wish you the best possible results in all subjects and choosing the right educational path.
