STUDY VISIT TO DS SMITH

On May 18th, 2022, the students of the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław participated in a study visit to DS Smith in Oława. It was a part of the EU Project - Qualified Staff for the Automotive Industry in Lower Silesia.

During the visit the students were shown around the production hall and the warehouses where the raw materials and the finished products are stored. The students were able to take a close look at the stages of cardboard and cardboard packaging production and at the work of the logistics department. During the meeting, the students were provided with knowledge of managing a multi-person company offering a wide range of services for the logistics industry. During the final presentation, the logistics aspect was discussed in detail in order to familiarize students with the practical application of logistics processes and logistics procedures in the company. The meeting was led by Marcin Gnacy - Plant Director and Monika Janicka - Logistics Manager at DS. Smith.
