STUDY VISIT TO AUCHAN POLAND

On May 10, 2023, a study visit was organized for students of the IULT in Wrocław at Auchan Polska Sp. z o. o. as part of the project Qualified Staff for the Automotive Industry in Lower Silesia.

Auchan has become a brand highly appreciated by customers and maintains its leading position as the cheapest retail chain in Poland.

The purpose of the visit was to show students how important logistics is in such a large enterprise.

Thanks to the visit, the students had the opportunity to see how the receipt, storage and warehousing of goods in individual departments looks like. They visited places where products are stored in such a way that they do not lose their quality.

They also saw how the packaging of online orders looks like, and also met the head of the E-COMMERCE department, who told in details how the work at this position looks and what you need to pay attention to when packing products for clients. The students could also see what it's like to work in an office.

During the visit to Auchan Polska Sp. z o. o. the students had an opportunity to get to know the methods of:

• team management;
• cooperation with commercial departments;
• storage of goods in appropriate conditions;
• accepting goods from central warehouses and direct suppliers.
