INDUSTRY MEETING IN THE CONFERENCE HALL OF THE WROCŁAW CITY COUNCIL

On May 17, 2023, in the Conference Hall of the Wrocław City Council, an industry meeting was held, organized by the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw and Wrocław Academic Centre – The Office of Cooperation with Universities at the Municipal Office of Wrocław. (Polish: Wrocławskie Centrum Akademickie – Biuro Współpracy z Uczelniami Wyższymi przy Urzędzie Miejskim Wrocławia).

The meeting concerned the development of the electric battery industry and their use in the automotive industry. Barriers, opportunities and challenges faced by manufacturing and logistics companies were presented.

Participants were greeted by The Rector of the International University of Logistics and  Transport in Wroclaw, Marcin Pawęska, PhD, the Professor of the IULT, and The Secretary of the Council for Higher Education and Science at the President of Wrocław and The Councillor of the City Council in Wroclaw, Jacek Ossowski, PhD.

The following lectures were presented by the speakers:

•  „Introduction to the Eelectric Battery Industry – enhancement Development and Limitations of the Industry Growth” Stanisław Czornak M.Sc.- the lecturer at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wroclaw.
•  „Building a Battery Supply Chain for Electric Vehicles in the United States”, Prof. Kevin Ketels, Wayne State University in The United States.
• „Development of the Electric Battery Industry - Experiences  from Poland and Europe”, Michał Brzozowski – The President of the Management Board of Metroplan Poland Sp. z o.o.

After the speeches, there were several questions that were answered by the speakers. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience regarding the production and use of electric batteries.

The meeting was attended by students from the partner Wayne State University in the United States, faculty, administrative workers and students of the IULT, students research circle LOGISTIQUA and the representatives of the Office of Cooperation with Universities at the City Hall of Wrocław (Polish: Biuro Współpracy z Uczelniami Wyższymi przy Urzędzie Miejskim Wrocławia).
