Project IMLOGEN (International Master’s Degree Programme in Logistics Engineering) is an international initiative aimed at jointly developing an integrated master's degree programme in the field of logistics engineering, delivered in English and including mandatory student mobility between partner universities. The project is implemented under the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM) action and responds to the growing needs of the labour market as well as and the ongoing industrial transformations resulting from, among others, the development of digital technologies and the increasing complexity of logistics and production systems.
The main objective of IMLOGEN is to prepare a high-quality syllabus and organizational framework for a joint study programme which ensures that graduates acquire both strong technical competencies and the skills necessary to work in an international environment. These include cooperation, communication, and systems thinking, as well as understanding of the economic and organisational conditions of modern enterprises.
Within the project, partners are elaborating coherent rules governing the future programme, including common admission criteria, principles for course completion and assessment, organization of student mobility, and a shared approach to graduation requirements.
The key outcome of the project will be the development of a fully coordinated and ready-to-launch “International Master’s Degree Programme in Logistics Engineering” (four semesters, 120 ECTS), delivered in English as a full-time programme. The programme will include mandatory physical mobility for all students within the consortium and a clearly defined joint graduation model.
An integral part of the project is the implementation of a unified recruitment policy, including joint procedures concerning application, selection, and candidate evaluation. This will ensure transparent and comparable admission criteria across the entire consortium and equal treatment of all applicants, regardless of the university at which they begin their studies.
At the same time, the partners will develop a joint strategy for promotion and visibility of the programme, aimed at attracting the best international candidates and actively integrating them into the Erasmus+ community.
The project will also establish a common administrative and financial management framework and prepare a joint student agreement regulating, among others, the mobility pathway, graduation rules, scholarship allocation, students’ rights and responsibilities, administrative support, internships, as well as procedures for amendments and dispute resolution.
On 8–10 July 2025, a meeting of representatives from the partner universities took place at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław (IULT). During the visit, participants discussed plans for the joint implementation of scientific and educational projects as well as initiatives supporting the internationalisation of education. The meeting concluded with the signing of a declaration of cooperation aimed at establishing a joint inter-university master’s programme in logistics.
The programme and project activities are carried out by an international consortium of four universities:
- The International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław (IULT) – Poland
- University of Lorraine (UL) – France
- University of Messina (UniME) – Italy
- Polytechnic School of Agadir (PSA) / Universiapolis – Morocco
The cooperation between these partners is expected to result in a study programme which is unique on a European scale. It will strengthen the internationalisation and competitiveness of the participating universities and, at the same time, enhance cooperation with the socio-economic environment through education aligned with the real needs of the logistics and transport sector.
