INTERCULTURAL INTEGRATION WORKSHOPS FOR MWSLiT STUDENTS
From March 26 to April 2, 2026, a group of first-year students who had just begun their studies at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław participated in an off-site workshop programme held in some of the most culturally rich locations of Lower Silesia, including Świeradów-Zdrój and Krzyżowa.
Programme overview:
Day 1: Departure from Wrocław to Świeradów-Zdrój, visit to the SkyWalk observation tower (a walk among the clouds), sightseeing of the Market Square, and a visit to the Mineral Water Pump Room.
Day 2: Trip to the “Julia” Crystal Glassworks in Piechowice, including participation in glass painting workshops.
Day 3: Excursion to the Colorful Lakes in Wieściszowice, featuring a walk and exploration of the unique landscape.
Day 4: Stay in Jelenia Góra and visit to the Time Gates Centre – an interactive space combining science and history.
Day 5: Stay at the Krzyżowa Foundation. A full day of intercultural education workshops, focusing on teamwork, integration, and developing communication skills.
Day 6: Trip to Książ Castle in Wałbrzych, including a guided tour and intercultural education workshops.
Day 7: Trip to the Bear Cave in Stronie Śląskie – exploring of one of the most beautiful caves in Poland, alongside continued intercultural workshops.
Day 8: Check-out and return to Wrocław. Summary of the trip and workshop activities.
The trip was not only an opportunity to explore the most fascinating corners of Lower Silesia, but above all to build relationships among students, develop intercultural competencies, and gain new experiences in an inspiring setting.
The workshops were financed by a grant from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) as part of the project “Development of the Welcome Centre as a place of support, adaptation, and integration for international students and academic staff.”
