STUDY VISIT TO DB SCHENKER SP. Z O.O.
On May 13, 2026, Logistics students took part in a study visit to DB SCHENKER Sp. z o.o. During the visit, participants learned about the company’s history, its global scale of operations, and its key service areas, including land, sea and air transport, as well as contract logistics.
Students also learned about the merger of DB Schenker with DSV, the company’s certifications, and the current developments in Poland related to the SENT system.
The visit provided valuable insight into the work of various departments within the company. Managers, including the Head of Terminal, Head of Collections and Distribution, Head of Line and Direct Delivery, and Land Operation Manager, discussed their responsibilities and explained everyday operational processes. Students were also given a tour of the warehouse, where the logistics processes were explained, as well as through the company’s office space. Overall, the visit gave participants a better understanding of how a modern logistics operator functions in practice.
